The Dandy Warhols aren’t doing anything new on Distortland, and they still sound as dispensable and indispensable as ever. Essential Tracks: “STYGGO”, “You Are Killing Me” Artists. Reply

And, I am glad I did. THE DANDY WARHOLS are uniquely creative and talented. I enjoy all the songs on this CD. I believe the tunes that first caught my attention are "You Are Killing Me", followed closely on its' heels with "All The Girls In London" (my favorites) but all are diverse & entirely entertaining!/5(85). The Dandy Warhols seemed to have lost their exuberance, as well as their semi-decent lyrical prowess. "Distortland" is exactly what you would imagine: A dreary, distorted sound envelopes a decrepit amusement park like a poisonous mist. Lately, the Dandy Warhols have been heavier on atmosphere than wordplay. Distortland may seem sleepier than some of the Dandys' previous work, although longtime fans know that the band has always had a penchant for rainy day lo-fi: in my opinion they don't get enough credit for helping inspire the current crop of proto-shoegazers. Jun 10,  · It's been four years since The Dandy Warhols released an album, but now they're back with Distortland, a highly-praised long-player with overtones of '60s rock and undertones of hypnotic, LSD-fuelled vintage trance. For fans, Distortland has been a long train running. Reply
