Over the hills and far away Each night within his prison cell He looks out through the bars He reads the letters that she wrote One day he'll know the taste of freedom Over the hills and far away She prays he will return one day As sure as the rivers reach the seas Back in his arms again she'll be Over the hills and far away He swears he will. Wild Frontier contains the hit single "Over the Hills and Far Away", which reached No. 20 in the UK, as well as a cover of the Easybeats' song "Friday on My Mind". The cover of 'Over the Hills and Far Away' is decent enough but I much prefer Gary Moore's original. Moore attacks the solo with real gusto and the celtic sounds of the keyboards are far superior. 'Astral Romance' is structurally the same as on the debut album so seems to have only be remade to bolster the male vocals from the original. Reply

'Over The Hills and Far Away' is as good an album opener as you're ever likely to hear as is the title track and who the hell cannot relate to the 'living for the weekend' sentiment of 'Friday On My Mind,'? Fantastic Gary Moore album/5(). Reply
